Favorite Theory

                                                              And the winner is........a tie.
My favorite theory is a tie behavior behavioral and humanistic. I know they are different from each other but here is where I struggle to put one over the other. As an educator, I see great value in the behavioral approach. It helps kids learn and grow to be good students and how to behave in different situations. However, the humanistic approach focuses on the WHOLE student. The whole person has to be taken in to account when counseling another. Although behavioral psychology may help more situationally, the humanistic appraoch, I believe, helps with developing the whole person.
